Hi there,

I am hoping you’ll take time read this in between your freebie hunting.  Its that time of year again when we start shopping for chrissie presents for our near and dear. Before you go shopping this time consider purchasing a present that could change someones life for the better.

TEAR Australia are the group which came up with the Really Useful Gift Catalogue where you can purchase a gift that will help out someone who is living in circumstances we will probably never experience let alone see!

How does it work?

Gifts purchased from the Really Useful Gift Catalogue will help people living overseas overcome poverty and marginalisation, take control of their future, work together to benefit each other, and participate regardless of religious or political beliefs.

What do you get?

For every item you purchase, TEAR Australia will send you either a traditional printed card or an e-card as a token of your gift. Each card has a photo and description of the gift, and provides blank spaces for the name of the friend or family member who will be ‘receiving’ the gift, and for your name. It doesn’t mention the amount of money. The printed cards are all-occasion and can be used for Christmas, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries or as a special thank you.

What can you purchase?
